Every now and then, I tune into National Geographic. I love watching stories related to nature, insects, and animals. Recently, I observed an episode related to elephants. It covered the elephants experience during a drought in an African desert. Food was scarce and water was rare. The elephants were trying to survive the best way they could. In particular, I was intrigued with the attention given to a calf who was only a few months old. Due to extreme conditions, he was having a rough time. The calf was so weak that he was barely able to stand. Once he got on his feet, he would soon fall to the ground. The mother of the calf tried continuously to get him upright so he could receive nourishment from her breasts. That's what got my attention! In order to be strengthened, the calf had to get off the ground. The mother had what he needed, but he had to rise to his feet in order to reach her breasts.
Friend, you have to be strong when you encounter a struggle. You must be resilient when you experience a rough season. If you're willing to stand, God can supply you with what you need. If you remain steadfast, He will provide. If you've gotten weary from the journey don't give in. If you're drained by what you're dealing with don't quit at this time. Pick yourself up and go to your Source. Dust yourself off and get refreshed by The Living Water. You've been through too much to give up now! You've come too far for you to bail out!
Don't allow the desert to keep you from destiny. Don't allow the pain to prevent you from promise.
